About Our Wrestling Story

Our story will inspire your family to unite and grow together through youth wrestling.

Faith, Family, Wrestling
Saved our marriage

Why we are so passionate about uniting families through wrestling.

Our Wrestling Story

Wrestling did not just change our lives. It helped save our marriage and our family. By God’s grace, the sport became a catalyst for healing, rebuilding trust, and bringing our home back together. That transformation gave us a calling to help other families unite through youth wrestling like ours did.

We also coach parents, not just their athletes. Furthermore, we share the habits, drills, and mindset that turned the mat into common ground for our whole home.

Our story will inspire your family to serve as an example of unity and growth through youth wrestling.

Our journey fuels everything we do, from our clinics and videos to how we discuss effort, respect, and faith. You’ll conclude that if wrestling can restore our home, it can also strengthen yours!

lead coach

Trevor Grant

Trevor is an assistant men’s wrestling coach at Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC), with a decorated wrestling background and years of proven coaching experience. He was a standout prep wrestler, finishing as a three-time state finalist and two-time state champion in Nevada. He also placed third at the state level as a freshman, establishing himself early as one of the top competitors in the region.

Trevor went on to compete collegiately, where he became a three-time NCAA Division II national qualifier, an NCAA Division II All-American, and a John Peterson Memorial International Champion. His success as a student-athlete provided the foundation for his transition into coaching.

Additionally, he has six years of experience on staff at Meeker High School, where he coached multiple state champions and several high school All-Americans. You can trust Trevor’s wrestling experience to coach and guide your youth wrestler and consequently, see improvements in your child’s wrestling skils.

Assistant coach

Marki Grant

Marki’s experience in wrestling didn’t start as a youth; however, she did compete in the Suples U.S. Open and continued to train in Suples, achieving Elite status. Marki is in the process of completing her certification in Suples as well.

Furthermore, Marki is a former successful athlete and now the Head Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country/Track Coach at Colorado Northwestern Community College. She has an extensive background as both a competitive runner and a coach, and is uniquely qualified to be an outstanding wrestling coach as well.

Through Exposure Youth Wrestling, she has become a powerful and motivating wrestling mom with the skills to match. You’ll always find her on the mat doing drills with the 3 Grant children, checking form, and ensuring everyone’s hearts are full.

Marki takes it further by combining her parental mat experience to help other wrestling moms and families unite around the sport of wrestling.
